The Art of Frozen Wonder: Colorberry’s Geode Creations

In Colorberry’s studio, magic happens when resin meets crystal. Her “Geode epoxy Table” series isn’t just furniture—it’s wearable geology, where amethyst clusters bloom across tabletops and agate patterns ripple through cheese boards like frozen rivers.

Working with the patience of a stonecutter, she coaxes resin into mimicking nature’s most breathtaking formations. Crushed gemstones scatter like stardust, metallic pigments pool into molten gold veins, and layer upon layer builds into something that feels unearthed rather than handmade.

“There’s a thrill in tricking the eye,” Colorberry admits, running a finger along a table edge where quartz crystals appear to erupt from the surface. “When someone first touches one of my pieces, they always expect cold stone—then they’re surprised by the warmth.”

Her process is alchemy meets archaeology. Some tables take weeks to complete as she:

  • Hand-places each crystal shard to mimic natural growth patterns
  • Builds up resin in sediment-like layers
  • Sands reveals hidden “geological” strata
  • Polishes to a glass-like finish that magnifies every detail

Beyond tables, her creations have evolved into wall hangings that glow like cavern windows and serving platters where guests can literally dine on a landscape of gemstones. “Food tastes better when it’s resting on something beautiful,” she laughs.

What began as artistic experimentation has become something deeper. “These pieces make people pause,” Colorberry observes. “They run their hands over the surfaces the way you might touch ancient temple walls—there’s this instinctive connection to elemental beauty.”

As sunlight streams through a half-finished table, turning embedded crystals into prisms that dance across the walls, it’s clear she’s not just making furniture. She’s bottling the earth’s jewelry box, one resin pour at a time.
